Privacy Policy

1. Who this is from

Kabati is an independent app created by Aziz Jassim. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact kabati@atelieraj.com.

2. Your wardrobe stays in your iCloud

Everything you add to Kabati, your pieces and their photos, your looks, your measurements, and your profile, is stored on your device and synced through your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple's private CloudKit database. This means:

• The developer of Kabati has no access to your wardrobe, your photos, or your measurements, and never receives a copy of them.
• Your data syncs between your own devices under your Apple ID. Apple's handling of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• If you delete a piece in the app, or sign out of iCloud, or delete the app, your data is removed accordingly.

3. Sign in with Apple

Signing in is optional. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives Kabati your name and an email address, and you may choose to hide your email behind Apple's private relay. This is used only to label your account inside the app. You can also choose "Not now" and use Kabati without signing in.

4. Tidy with AI and automatic tagging

Tidy with AI creates a clean studio image of a garment, and automatic tagging suggests its category, colour and fabric when you add a piece. For both, the garment photo is sent from your device through Kabati's secure relay to Google, which returns the cleaned-up image or the tags. The relay does not store your photo, it passes it straight to Google and returns the result to you. Google processes the photo under Kabati's own agreement with Google; its handling of this data is governed by the Google Gemini API terms and Google's Privacy Policy. Only the garment photo is sent, never your measurements, profile or other pieces. These features only run if you have agreed to the AI features when the app asked; you can withdraw that at any time under More.

5. The stylist ("Ask your closet")

When you talk or type to the stylist, Kabati sends the following to a small processing service in order to answer you:

• the text of what you said,
• your first name, if you set one, and any short style notes the app has saved about your taste,
• the recent messages in the current conversation,
• a text list of the pieces in your closet, using their names and simple tags such as fabric, occasion and season. The photos of your closet pieces are not sent to the stylist, and
• only if you choose to attach one, a single reference photo (for example an outfit you are wearing for a second opinion, or a look you like) so the stylist can look at it and answer. It is sent through the relay to Google for that reply and is not stored, and
• your approximate location, but only if you turn on Local weather and allow it, so the stylist can suggest what suits your current conditions. Your device shares a coarse location (roughly your area, not a precise address), used only to look up the current weather and never stored. You can turn this off any time under More, and if you decline the permission the stylist simply uses the season instead.

This information passes through a relay operated for Kabati on Cloudflare, which stores none of it, and is sent to Google to generate the written reply and to OpenAI to turn that reply into a spoken voice. To describe the weather where you are, the relay sends only your approximate location to WeatherAPI.com, which returns the local conditions and receives nothing else about you. These providers process the information to produce your answer. Kabati does not use it to advertise to you, and does not sell it. If you would rather not use the stylist, you do not have to: the AI features are off until you agree to them, and can be turned off again at any time under More.

6. Trying a look on yourself

Virtual try-on renders you wearing pieces you own. To do that, Kabati sends the photo you saved of yourself together with the photos of the pieces in that look, from your device through Kabati's relay, to two providers: fal.ai, which runs the FASHN try-on model that puts a top, bottom or dress on you, and Google, which layers anything worn over that outfit, such as a coat, abaya, hijab, shoes or a bag. Each provider receives the images only to produce the picture and return it. The relay stores nothing. Your photo is not used to advertise to you, is not sold, and is never sent anywhere unless you ask for a try-on. Virtual try-on only runs if you have agreed to the AI features, which you can turn off at any time in the app under More.

7. What Kabati does not do

• No advertising, and no ad networks.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.
• No selling or renting of your personal information to anyone.

8. Keeping and deleting your data

Because your wardrobe lives in your iCloud, you control it directly. You can delete any piece, look, or measurement inside the app, and delete the whole app to remove its local data. The stylist relay keeps no record of your messages. To ask a question about your data, contact kabati@atelieraj.com.

9. Children

Kabati is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 13 and older, or the minimum age required in your country.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Most of your data is already in your own hands through iCloud and the in-app controls described above. For anything else, contact kabati@atelieraj.com and Kabati will respond as required by law.

11. Security

Data in transit to the services above is sent over encrypted connections. Your wardrobe is protected by your Apple ID and device security. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but Kabati is built to keep the amount of data that ever leaves your device as small as possible.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the app.
